Happy Friday!!!! I came across a few quotes this week that seemed super appropriate for sharing with my fellow Bionic Beauties.
Three of these quotes I discovered via the ‘net. The fourth (and my personal favorite) is pulled from…. “the increasingly misnamed trilogy of five books” (have you guessed it yet?)… The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe series! I’m almost ashamed to admit that I have not read these books until now, but not really ashamed since I am rectifying that oversight. And rather quickly. I’m on book three now – Life, the Universe and Everything – and it’s awesome!
“I find beauty in unusual things, life hanging your head out the window or sitting on a fire escape.”
~ Scarlett Johansson, from Seventeen Magazine, May 2007
“Sculptors, poets, painters, musicians – they’re the traditional purveyors of Beauty. But it can easily be created by a gardner, a farmer, a plumber, a careworker.”
~ Charles De Lint, from The Onion Girl
“It’s important for all types of women to known that you don’t have to fit a prototype of what one person thinks is beautiful in order to be beautiful, or feel beautiful. People think: sexy, big breasts, curvy body, no cellulite. It’s not that. Take the girl at the beach with the cellulite legs, wearing her bathing suit the way she likes it, walking with a certain air, comfortable with herself. That woman is sexy. Then you see the perfect girl, who’s really thin, tugging at her bathing suit, wondering how her hair looks. That’s not sexy.”
~ Jennifer Lopez, from Reader’s Digest, August 2003
Nice quotes, right? Please share your favorite beauty, book, or whatever quotes below!
Have a wonderful weekend y’all,
P.S. Fellow Android users – Open Google Now and ask it: “What is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything?” Go on. I’ll wait. *grin*
